We recently got the great news that Centenary Hospital is getting a much-needed new Emergency Department! The other great news is that a tiered parking structure as well as a research and education building are also in the works.

While this is great news, we acknowledge that parking is changing and may be a tad different at times. *** You have a 15-minute free of charge grace period if you enter one of the hospital lots and need to exit. *** You would use your entry ticket on exiting. Parking for a minimal fee is available at the Food Basics parking lot, and side streets are available (Trailridge Cres. And Purple Dusk are closest).

Signage and directions are in flux as the construction team are creating the new flow. We have been requesting and advocating for clear, accurate wayfinding and signage from the South parking lot entrance (Margaret Birch Wing). The South lot has usually had more vacant parking spots. If you find yourself navigating through, which is actually quite nice in inclement weather if your mobility is up to it, please see directions in our blog. We will update photos as signage changes.

The basics: The South Entrance is Floor 1, the North Entrance that you likely usually use is Floor 2, and our clinic is on Floor 3. You’d be walking all the way through to the other end of the hospital, through the Team engagement Hallway, and you’ll see the Security office. If you take the North elevator, get off on Floor 2 and head towards and beyond Shopper’s. You can also take the stairs up one flight of stairs into the Court Area, or you can continue on Floor 1 to the end of the hallway (past Human Resources) and turn right to take the Court Area elevators to Floor 3.
